Instructions for Authors
Submission Format
Papers and abstracts submitted for the MEMICS 2007 conference must be
typeset in LaTeX in LNCS Springer style. Papers in other formats and/or
exceeding maximum length will not be accepted for publication.
Maximum paper length is 8 pages, recommended paper length is 6 pages.
Abstracts obey the same rules as regular papers, only their length is
limited to 1 page.
By submitting a paper, the authors implicitly agree with publication of the
paper in the MEMICS 2007 proceedings.
Paper Processing
In order to typeset your manuscript, download the
llncs2e.zip
archive which contains the style class. Detailed description of the style
is available in
typeinst.pdf.
Source of this file is available in
typeinst.zip.
We strongly recommend using it as a template. To create a PDF, use either
- pdflatex or
- latex, dvips and ps2pdf or
- latex and dvipdfm.
In the final camera ready version, turn page numbering and page headers
off; they will be added by the editors.
We strongly recommend restricting to "line art" figures, e.g., graphs and
schemes. Because of the printing technique, complex bitmaps like photos may
lead to unpredictable results. Avoid colours, use at most several grades of
grey.
Submission
For both initial and camera ready submissions, authors are required to
submit
- a PDF file of the paper (with page numbering and headers switched off for
camera ready submission)
- complete sources that are necessary to build the PDF, i.e., LaTeX source
codes, bibliographies, figures, etc. Please make sure that the source
files you send are sufficient to build the resulting PDF. If you use a
package that can be expected non-standard to usual TeXlive distribution,
please include it into the sources
- identify an email contact of an author for communication in case of
problems with processing of your paper
